We Went Looking For a Skincare Company That Shared Our Values. We Ended Up Building One.

Skincare that shares your values. That was the whole idea, and it started with a bathroom shelf full of brands we no longer trusted.

Nimi is a family-run company. The whole reason it exists is that we could not find one we wanted to buy from.

For years our family did what most families do. We bought whatever was on the shelf, trusted the words on the front of the bottle, and never gave much thought to the company behind it. Then we started reading the backs of the bottles. Then we started reading about the companies. And one by one, brands we had used for a decade stopped feeling like ours.

That is a strange place to end up. You are not angry, exactly. You are just awake to it. Awake to the fact that the company taking your money every month does not stand for much of anything you would stand for, and would not notice if you left.

So we left. And then we could not find anywhere good to go.

The Breakup

We Kept Leaving Brands We Used to Love

The search went about how you would expect. The brands with clean, honest formulas often could not resist telling us what to think about everything else. The brands that felt culturally familiar were filling their jars with the same ultra-processed, lab-made chemicals as everyone else.

Clean or aligned. Pick one. That was the choice on offer, and after enough months of it we started to suspect nobody was going to solve it for us.

The turning point, for most of the women who find us, is the day they start reading the back of the bottle.

"Vote with your wallet."

The idea Nimi was built on

It is a simple phrase and it asks a lot of you. It only works if somebody actually builds the thing worth voting for.

The Standard

Skincare Without Compromise

So we built it. Not a clean line inside a bigger company, and not a special collection with its own marketing. Every formula in the entire line is held to the same written standard, because a standard that only applies to some of your products is not really a standard.

We publish it, in plain language, so you never have to take our word for anything. It says what goes in and what is banned from every single formula we make.

And what goes in is the simple part: whole, God-given ingredients your grandmother would recognize, like grass-fed tallow, beeswax, and aloe, instead of chemicals invented in a lab.

Synthetic fragrance, dyes, and lake colors, replaced with pure essential oils

Sulfates (SLS), PEGs, and mineral oil, the cheap shelf-stable bases

Sealing ingredients like tallow and beeswax help create the protected, comforted feel dry skin craves

Faith, family, and freedom are not a campaign we run in July. They are the reason the company exists at all, and they are the reason we are willing to make skincare the slower, more expensive way.

Making everything in America turned out to be more than a value. It is how we ensure quality. Because every formula is made in Florida by our own team, we oversee the supply chain and every ingredient in every batch. Brands that manufacture overseas often cannot tell you where their ingredients actually come from. We can, and we know exactly what is in every jar we sell.
